Compromise for Iran’s nuclear plan

The Iran nuclear deal is a momentous step towards ensuring the safety of our nation against nuclear weaponry.

In short, the Iran nuclear deal is a compromise where economic and international sanctions on Iran are being reduced in exchange for Iran ending it’s active search for nuclear weapons. All in all, we are eliminating the threat of a nuclear attack by Iran, which makes this plan utterly brilliant. We will have not only a documented agreement, but also ways to ensure the success of the terms. According to USA Today, Iran is required, over the next 10-15 years, to reduce its stockpile of enriched uranium. This is a key component of nuclear war and by requiring this the goal is that Iran’s pursuit of a nuclear weapon will delay for at least a decade.

You may wonder why the transactions of this deal are being made specifically with Iran. According to the White House, Iran’s current stockpile of uranium is one sizable enough to create eight to ten nuclear bombs. Eight to ten nuclear bombs with the power to kill thousands instantly. Eight to ten bombs that, according to the atomic archive, can cause the death of nerve cells and small blood vessels, a destroyed thyroid, a sterile reproductive system, heart failure, and a reduced lymphocycle count. Eight to 10 bombs that have a sure intensity enough to make land unlivable for long periods of time. I believe, as any sensible person should, that the eradication of this stockpile is essential for our nation and others. As does the Obama administration, which has argued against opposition that says lifting trade sanctions will only give Iran more money to fund terrorism around the world, according to the USA Today. The Obama administration retorts that the deal is the only way, other than war, to stop Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons. To any person who believes that war is the more fitting option to ending the threat of nuclear weaponry, let us think simply about how irrational that option should seem considering Iran’s current stockpile, which can produce eight to ten atomic bombs.

“Presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, according to the Washington Post, as well as many leading strategists in the U.S and abroad endorse the Iran deal. After senate democrats blocked a republican resolution of disapproval from going to a final vote, as told by CNN, president Barack Obama spoke on the matter.

‘This vote is a victory for diplomacy, for the American national security, and for the safety and security of the world,” Obama said. President Obama was correct. The Iran deal is a victory for me. It is a victory for you. It is a victory for our loved ones and our peace of mind. The Iran Nuclear Deal should be looked upon, as I do, with a sense of pride and hope for peace between countries.
