Blue Springs South is hosting try-outs for the South Side Steppers.

The try-out dates are Monday through Friday, November 5th through November 9th  after school at 2:45 to 4:30 pm.  Because there is no school on Tuesday, November 6th, the learning dates are going to be Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and the actual try-outs will be held on Friday.

Shelli Ray, the team’s coach discussed some things she was looking for.  She said that step is all about being able to hear the rhythm and what you look like while doing it.

“It’s all about the energy you give off to the audience while performing,” she said.

The team performs during assemblies and the Blue Springs South basketball home games.  If you are looking to join the South Side Steppers dance team, make sure to contact Ms. Ray in room 607.
