A famous reality television show that has graced our television screens is MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’.

‘Jersey Shore’ premiered on MTV in 2009 and took the world by storm with its famous catchphrases, quotes, and nicknames.

Nicole Polizzi, also known as, Snooki is the biggest start to come from ‘Jersey Shore’ and was also the highest payed of the whole cast.

The whole cast is Nicole ‘Snooki’, Jenni ‘JWOWW’, Sammi ‘Sweetheart’, Mike ‘The Situation’, DJ Pauly D, Ronnie, and Vinny. Angelina was a cast member for the very first three episodes in season one then left. She returned in season two before leaving again. Angelina was replaced by Deena in season three.

The show took place in the Jersey Shore for season one, three, five, and six while taking place in Miami for season two and Italy for season four.

The show wrapped in 2012 and has been off the air for almost six years. Rumors were swirling around that the cast was going to get back together for a reunion show/reboot but no confirmation.

In November of 2017, ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ was announced. It’s a new version of the show with the same cast but instead of going to the Jersey Shore, they’re taking one big family vacation to Miami. The whole cast returned except Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ because she didn’t want to enter toxic environment with her ex-boyfriend, Ronnie.

‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ premiered on Thursday, April 5th. I really enjoyed the premiere and so did others because it was a ratings hit with over three million viewers. It was the biggest premiere on MTV in six years.

I personally think it is a great continuation of the old show and it feels like time has not passed. I do wish Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ was back because there is a lot of unfinished drama with her and Ronnie but other than that, I really enjoyed it. Angelina is supposed to make a big return later in the season.
