The 2019 Mirrors of the Soul literary and art magazine has chosen the theme “Metamorphosis.” The stage of metamorphosis is a transition from one form into another.

The example provided by senior Ashley Cole is a caterpillar morphing into a butterfly. The reason for this theme is because students go through many different changes throughout the course of high school. Janis Schuberth advisor of the magazine says she is looking for pieces of writing, poetry, short stories, essays, script writing, lyrics, etc. “We’ll take anything, including artwork,”. Schuberth says. Artwork submissions can be summitted via email to [email protected] or taken to room 117. She asks that all art work have a title and the artist’s name. Artwork and writings need to be turned in by February 15,2019.
