The Blue Springs South girls Cross Country team had a shot at winning it all, and came so close, but finished the state meet in fourth place. Mya Trober, sophomore, came within a few seconds, 4.4 to be exact, of winning the entire meet. The girls had an outstanding run, and left their heart out there on the trail.

Coach Unruh felt the girls really came out and performed well. He replied “I don’t know how I could ask more from them. They ran their hearts out, and I’m proud of them and what they accomplished.” After discussing if he was satisfied on the state meet for a bit, Coach Unruh enthusiastically said, “For sure! This team worked super hard all season long, and always showed great teamwork. They resembled nothing but love and I’m super happy with how it all turned out in the end.”
