The Lady Jags tennis team finished off the season with a 9-7 record and a second place finish in districts.

Tiffany Davenport won the individual district tournament and advanced to play at sectionals. She fell short of the win at sectionals.

“I know what’s coming, I know what type of players I will face and what I need to work on, in my game personally, to improve and win more matches.” Davenport said.

Head Coach Jakob Estep is looking forward to the team next year.

“It’s been two years in a row now that we have fallen just short of the finish line by taking second in districts against the same team. We have a better idea of what’s coming.” Estep said.

The Lady Jags will return three varsity players next year and hope to win districts next year. Sierra Mann will be one of those returning players.

“We want to get over the hump and beat Grain Valley so we can win districts.” Mann said.
